Who we are
Our website address is: https://recura.eu.
Recura is an online store selling recovery and mobility products. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us at hello@recura.eu.
What personal data we collect and why
When you place an order, we collect: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and order details (products purchased, order value). We use this information to:
- Process and fulfill your order
- Communicate with you about your order (confirmation, shipping updates, support)
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., accounting and tax records)
Payment information: We do not store your card details. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment providers (such as Stripe/WooPayments and/or PayPal). These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your payment data.
When you create an account, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile (name, email, address). You can see, edit, or delete this information at any time from your account page, except your username.
When you contact us (email, contact form), we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message, in order to respond to your inquiry.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images.
Cookies
We use cookies to make our store work properly and to improve your shopping experience:
- Shopping cart cookies: used to remember what’s in your cart while you browse the site.
- Comment cookies: if you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies, so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. These last one year.
- Login cookies: if you have an account and log in, cookies save your login session (2 days, or 2 weeks if “Remember Me” is selected) and display preferences (1 year). These are removed when you log out.
- Analytics/marketing cookies (if applicable): we may use tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand site traffic and measure the performance of our ads. You can opt out of these through your cookie preferences or your browser settings.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited that other website directly — it may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the content, especially if you’re logged into that third-party service.
Who we share your data with
To fulfill your order, we share necessary information with:
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) — to securely process your payment.
- Shipping and fulfillment partners / suppliers (e.g., our dropshipping supplier(s)) — we share your name, shipping address, and order details so your product can be shipped directly to you. Some of our suppliers and warehouses are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA); by placing an order, you consent to this international transfer of your shipping data for the sole purpose of order fulfillment.
- Email/marketing service providers (if applicable) — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is stored with our email service provider to send you updates and offers.
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we retain your data
- Order and invoice data is retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law (in Romania, generally up to 10 years for financial records).
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
- Account data: retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (subject to our legal retention obligations above).
Your rights over your data (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union/European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements, such as tax records)
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Request data portability
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@recura.eu.
If you are located outside the EU/EEA, please note that data protection laws vary by country. We encourage you to review the consumer and data privacy regulations applicable in your own country, as you may have additional or different rights under local law.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Order and shipping data necessary for fulfillment may be transferred to our suppliers and logistics partners, some of which may be located outside the EEA, solely for the purpose of delivering your order.
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We recommend checking this page periodically.
